Happy Halloween!

Happy Halloween! Elise certainly enjoyed this Halloween more than last year. She couldn't quite figure out how to say trick or treat yet, but she knows how to reach into a bowl of candy! Elise attended a ward party and went trunk or treating as a flapper. After a really late nap 5:00pm - 8:00pm we dressed Elise up in a warmer lion outfit to hit a couple houses. All in all Elise had a great Halloween! As for the rest of us, we are getting better and Daniel felt the baby kick for the first time. Woo Hoo!
I love this picture, she looks so posh

Holidays are coming....

My camera has decided to stop working and right before the holidays :( I am now going through withdrawls. Our video camera is working, so here are a couple recent videos.
As for us, we are slowly getting back to our old selves before the swine flu. What else? My belly has officially "popped" as they call it. I have lots of cute summer maternity clothes, but now that I am pregnant in the bitter cold of winter, fashion seems to be another story.
Elise is still talking up a storm and becoming very helpful around the house. It so neat, she actually understands what I'm saying. I'll say, "Elise go get a book from your room and bring it to Mommy," and about two seconds later she comes flying out of her room with a book. She can also get shoes, a diaper, pacifier, bottle, it's a fun game. I know she will be super helpful when her brother comes. We are getting excited for the holidays....already listening to Christmas music at our house. Until next time...

Swine Flu Drama

Daniel, Elise and I have all come down with the swine flu. I used to think that the swine flu sounded like something you hear about on the news, and not something that could actually happen to me or my family. On Monday I went to work for about 30 minutes then went home and felt deathly ill. Elise had the same symptoms and Daniel's came the next day. It was like having any kind of ache, symptom, cold, sickness, but all at the same time. Each day none of us felt any better and I decided to go to my doctor to make sure that me and baby boy was okay. That's when I learned it was swine flu and that I was considered high risk. He told me to stay away from people for at least 7 days, wear a mask if I had to go in public and that pregnant women take 2-3 weeks longer than the normal person to get better. I felt like some sort of creature with a disease when people looked at me wearing the mask. So here I am a week later and I am not better. Elise is feeling better, she's been the biggest trooper out of all of us, plus having a double ear infection. There are no pictures to post this week for obvious reasons. My only suggestion is when the H1N1 vaccine is available in your area, GET IT! My doctor said the swine flu just broke out too fast and there were not enough vaccines made. Until next post...

Halloween Fever

We here in the Magalogo home are definitely getting into the Halloween Spirit. We decorated our house, and put pumpkins that light up in our windows and continue to dress up Elise. You'll see when you scroll down to recent pictures. This week Elise has started talking like CRAZY!!! She now says, yes, no, ball, ba-ba (bottle), bath, all done, ruff-ruff, cookie, hungry, Elmo, Deen, Auntie, Grandma, Grandpa, Daddy, Poppa and the best one of all Mama! Some she will repeat after we say it first, others she will say all on her own. Elise also experienced her first parade, a local one for the high school homecoming, she had a blast and got lots of candy!

Probably my favorite picture ever of us! Elise and I both surprised at the parade :)I thought this picture was classic of Wyoming, they are standing on hay stacks for their floatA full shot of the outfit including her cowboy bootsElise and Mommy enjoying the ParadeHappy Halloween!
What time is my performance?More parade fun! This video is trying to get Elise to shake her finger from side to side and say no, no, no...it takes her about 22 seconds to decide whether or not she wants to do it. Watch at closely at 22 seconds and you won't miss it, so cute :)
This is me trying to have her do it one more time, instead it's just a cute short video of Elise.
