Back to School

This week was back to school week. It was super busy and I felt like I was running around like crazy. Just give us a few more weeks and I'm sure we will have a better routine going. Elise started her second year at pre-school and was sad that some of her friends moved on to kindergarten. I assured her that she will make new friends, already she is so excited that there is a boy named Ethan in her class, just like her cousin. Daniel started a full fall class schedule and a hectic work schedule with the football team. Which by the way has paid off...we won our first game 34-3 to SUU. It was soooooo fun! The kids got all decked out in their Aggie attire and even made it to fourth quarter without having to leave early. (Ummmm yeah kids don't sit so well for four hours) Oh so exciting. Happy back to school week everybody!

Brigham City Temple Open House

This week we were able to attend the Brigham City Temple Open House. It was really neat for the kids to get to go inside. Elise said she felt like a princess going into a castle. Also I have family ties to Brigham City on my mother's side which seemed to make the trip extra special. My Great Great Grandfather was the mayor of Brigham City and my Great Grandmother grew up there. The temple was beautiful inside and out and everybody there was SOOOO nice! We tried to get a family shot, but then again so did a million other people. Next week I will give a full back to school report plus the Aggies have their first home game. Fun fun! Until then....

Aggie Fan Day

We attended Aggie Football Fan day where the community gets together to support the Utah State Team and they get pumped for football season to start. The kids enjoyed watching the team, Carter kept yelling, "Tackle that guy." They also played on kids toys and enjoyed getting an Aggie tattoo on their cheeks. First game is in two weeks and at home. Should be a fun season...Go Aggies!
Other updates for this week....Carter turned 2 1/2 and like I said before he is talking more and more. Carter is obsessed with super heroes, especially all of the Avengers. He is still super strong and people ask me at the park what do I do to have such a strong kid....literally he looks like he has muscles we're told. He is now 35 inches tall and weighs 34 pounds. Oh and he loves everything about football. As for Elise she had a check up at the dentist and we are happy to report that she has no cavities and she sat there quietly in her chair and was a great patient. One more week until school starts. Until then....

Splash Pad Park

Elise's cousin Addison was able to visit for the day this week and the girls had a blast! They played at the park, went to a water slide activity and of course they dressed up like princesses. All in all it was a fun day and we can't wait to have Addison come back to play again soon. I also took the kids to the famous "Splash Pad Park" for the first time. Carter couldn't get enough of the water.  We are enjoying the last month of summer and trying to have fun while beating the heat. Oh and all of the sudden Carter has started talking a lot! He usually says a few words or a couple words together. Now he is surprising us daily by saying sentences, "Mommy I bonked my head." "Peter Parker is Spiderman." "Play at the park, please?" It's awesome...just wanted to share.
