Pioneer Day Parade and More

Happy Pioneer Day Everyone! This year Elise and Carter participated in their own ward pioneer parade at church prior to the actual holiday. They liked dressing up, but got quite hot towards the end of the parade. On Pioneer Day we went to the Logan parade in the morning and at night watched Toy Story at the park, followed by fireworks.
Last weekend we went to Wyoming for Daniel's brother Tui's birthday. We cooked and Umu in celebration and the kids had fun playing with cousins and feeding horses. This week I made a goal to do something fun each day with the kids including the events on Pioneer Day. So far we have succeeded and will be going swimming tonight. Oh the joys of summer. As usual enjoy lots and lots of photos.

I am sort of in love with this photo right now

This girl LOVES the swings!
I love these homemade tire swings and they are even safer then normal swings. The kids played on these for about 6 hours while the boys did the Umu.

Pool Party!

Okay so it happened our little girl turned 5. On her actual birthday she wore her birthday attire, we celebrated with her picking out a cupcake from our favorite cupcake place and her lunch choice was a lunchable (oh to be 5 again). She called that day "her fake birthday" because her party was on Saturday and it confused her, so to her, the day of the pool party was her "real birthday."
We had her pool party at the Logan Aquatic Center. Prior to the party I was concerned about 2 things, one being the weather (thunderstorms were predicted) and two, how busy it might be on a Saturday. Luckily all the dark clouds disappeared for the duration of the party and practically nobody besides our group was there. It was awesome! A special thank-you to ALL of our friends and family that traveled for the party. I couldn't have asked for anything better. As for Elise she had an amazing day and got a zillion presents, she continues to play with a new present each day. Enjoy many, many photos of our birthday girl and her pool party. Thanks again!

This was Elise's bday attire and her outdoor photo shoot (her idea)

This was her big present....the one she said that she had shopped for in her dreams (A 3 story Barbie Dreamhouse, with an elevator) This is her hugging the box with pure joy!
