Happy New Year! 2017!

Happy New Year everyone! We took a quick trip up to Wyoming and the kids made it to midnight again this year. Monroe fell asleep, but woke up just few minutes before midnight because we were being too loud playing cards, whoops! I am excited to see what fun 2017 will bring. 2016 wasn't so bad for us. We had a graduation, a baptism and a new baby! Since it is a new year I thought I would give you some updates on the kiddos. Here we go...
Elise- Is really getting into reading. She has started the Harry Potter series and Nancy Drew series. She also loves to write. She wrote a 15 paged typed story on the computer called "The Candy Shoppe." She also loves music. She has been taking piano lessons and is really starting to pick it up.
Carter- Loves being a helper at school. He always volunteers and wants to be involved. He is actually begging me to let him go to the after school club because he wants to stay at school longer. Lol. He loves everything especially video games, super heroes and sports.
Monroe- She loves ALL nursery rhymes especially wheels on the bus and if you're happy and you know it. She also loves to dress up. Whether it is dresses, her own clothes or Elise's clothes - this girl has style. She has the best facial expressions, we have so much fun together. Lastly, she is a great helper to her baby brother.
Quincy- The BEST baby sleeper ever! I don't remember my kids sleeping much until they were a lot older. People always say "my baby slept through the night at 3 weeks" personally I think that is too little to sleep that long. Anyways, since Quincy turned 3 months he sleeps great at night. I mean from 9pm-6am, one bottle then back to sleep until 8am. It's amazing! He is also sleeping in his own crib now too. It's just divine and has helped me feel so much better lately. He also is drinking 4 oz at a time, fitting into size 6 month clothes, loves to chew on his hands and loves to smile. We love you Q!

My first New Year
 We made it to midnight
 Happy New Year!
Playing in the snow with friends

Is she an angel? There is literally a halo around her. Do you see it? Weird
Then a massive snowstorm hit
They should have canceled school, but they didn't
So we bundled them up Christmas Story style and sent them out the door
The storm aftermath - 2 feet in 24 hours
 Daniel digging us out
We stayed inside and hid for a few days

Then they got their snow day! First time they have canceled school in a decade!

They loved it!
